Super Ad
1. What is the "Super Ad: Believe In Now" Promotion?
Meet the men under the helmet! For the second straight year, NFL players have pitched their stories to be considered for this year's NFL Super Bowl commercial. Super Ad is a unique promotion that highlights these personal stories. This promotion follows the success of last season's "Super Ad" in which the story of Houston Texans' Ephraim Salaam was incorporated in the NFL's Super Bowl XLII commercial.
Similar to last year, the NFL asked players to tell a personal story tied to football. Fans will now have an opportunity to view these untold player stories on www.nfl.com\superad and vote on their favorites. The winning player's story will be the inspiration for the NFL's Super Bowl commercial!
2. When were these players filmed?
NFL Films traveled in an NFL-themed mobile studio to team facilities between late July and late October. The inside of the trailer resembled a locker room.
3. How do I vote?
Forty-eight of the players' stories will be eligible for voting on www.nfl.com\superad. These players' stories will be grouped by division and fans can vote for one of six players from each of the league's eight divisions during the following two voting periods:
- NFC Playoffs: November 20 to December 3
- AFC Playoffs: December 4 to December 17
- Championship Round: December 18 to January 4
During the NFC Playoffs, the featured divisions will be NFC East, NFC North, NFC South and NFC West. During the AFC Playoffs, the featured divisions will be AFC East, AFC North, AFC South, and AFC West.
After the first two voting periods conclude, there will be a third voting round, the Championship Round, which will begin on December 18 and conclude on January 4. A total of nine player videos will compete in the third round. The winning player videos from each division along with one wildcard player video will be move on to the Championship Round. The wildcard player video is chosen by the NFL.
Fans will be able to vote as many times as desired. Fans can vote by visiting www.nfl.com\superad, selecting the videos to be voted on and clicking on "Submit Votes."
During the promotion, fans also may view the player videos not eligible for voting by visiting "All Videos" section on www.nfl.com\superad.
4. How will the winning player video be determined?
The winning player video will be determined in the following manner: 1/3 of the overall vote will be based on fan voting, 1/3 by an NFL panel and 1/3 by the director of the Super Bowl commercial.
5. When will the NFL's Super Bowl commercial be revealed?
The NFL's Super Bowl commercial, inspired by the winning player's story, will be revealed during Super Bowl XLIII that is broadcast on NBC on Sunday, February 1, 2009.

1. What is the "Super Ad: That's how I see It." Promotion?
"Super Ad: That's how I see it," presented by Samsung, is a national promotion that offered fans the chance to describe how they relate to the NFL in hopes that their story might be turned into a commercial that would debut on Super Bowl Sunday. Stories could be about anything fans wanted to discuss, so long as it tied to the NFL in some manner.
2. Where did the Samsung Mobile Studio travel to?
The first event for the NFL's Super Ad: "That's how I see it" mobile studio was in Columbus Circle in New York City at the 2008 NFL Kickoff on September 4. It then traveled to 16 additional locations in September and October.
The mobile studio made stops in Baltimore, Cleveland, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Minnesota, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.
3. How do I vote?
Fans vote on NFL.com/HowISeeIt.
The voting period will be divided into the following three rounds:
- Round 1: November 20, 2008 to December 3, 2008 (24 videos)
- Round 2: December 4, 2008 to December 17, 2008 (24 videos)
- Round 3: December 18, 2008 to January 4, 2009 (nine final videos)
The winning fan's story will be the inspiration for a commercial that will debut before Super Bowl XLIII on Sunday, February 1, 2009 on NBC.
4. How many times can a fan vote?
There is no limit.
5. Is there a sponsor/advertiser associated with this promotion?
Samsung is the presenting sponsor.
6. How will the winning fan story be determined?
The winning "That's How I See It" fan story will be determined in the following manner: 1/3 of the overall vote will be based on fan voting, 1/3 by an NFL panel and 1/3 by the director of the Super Bowl commercial.
